Distance learning to last through 2019-20 school year

Posted on: Apr 23, 2020

This afternoon Gov. Tim Walz announced that all public schools in Minnesota will continue distance learning for the remainder of the 2019-20 school year. This means that Delano students will continue distance learning through Thursday, June 4, which is the last day on our school calendar.

With the closure of our facilities, you should anticipate additional information from each school regarding specific events and activities scheduled for the remainder of the school year. The Minnesota State High School League has canceled all spring sports and activities.

Our meal pickup service and child care for emergency workers will continue through June 4. More information from the Minnesota Department of Education will be forthcoming in regard to these two areas.

As stated in our April district newsletter, all school district playgrounds, tennis courts and turf fields will remain closed until further notice for the safety of our community. Thank you for your cooperation.
