Third at state, and a new record

As a team, Delano swimmers and divers took third place at the Class A state meet Nov. 14-16. Along the way, the Tigers also picked up a state record and individual championship. Delano scored 145 points to tie with Sauk Centre for third in competition at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center. Strong ACT scores in 2019

Delano students who graduated in 2019 posted strong marks in the ACT test, increasing the district’s customary lead on state and national averages and finishing ahead of Delano’s own seven-year average. Speakers to address anxiety

Delano Elementary School will host a free speaking event featuring Rob Winker and Amy Lou Anderson of Playmore and Prosper from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5. The speakers are sponsored by a grant from the United Way, and will share strategies for coping with anxiety.
