The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is maintaining a list of countries with travel advisories. Delano Elementary School will host a free speaking event featuring Rob Winker and Amy Lou Anderson of Playmore and Prosper from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5. The speakers are sponsored by a grant from the United Way, and will share strategies for coping with anxiety. School climate survey coming

Delano Public Schools is conducting a second survey on school climate to gather important feedback from students, staff and district families. The objective is to ensure continuous improvement, and this input is highly valued. Delano Public Schools is currently seeking applicants for an open school board seat.  The school board accepted the resignation of chair Mark Larson in August after Larson moved out of state.
