ADA AccessibilityIn 1998, Congress amended the Rehabilitation Act to require Federal agencies to make their electronic and information technology accessible to people with disabilities. Inaccessible technology interferes with an individual’s ability to obtain and use information quickly and easily. Section 508 was enacted to eliminate barriers in information technology, to make available new opportunities for people with disabilities, and to encourage the development of technologies that will help achieve these goals.
It is the goal of the Delano School District that the information on our website be accessible to individuals with visual, hearing or cognitive disabilities. Good faith efforts have been made to ensure that our site complies with Minnesota State standards on website accessibility. The majority of pages in our site are available in HTML format that can be deciphered by screen readers. If you are unable to access any page(s) in our site, please email Communications Coordinator Paul Downer (firstname.lastname@example.org) with detailed information on the location of the page or document you were attempting to access. Be sure to include your name, email address and phone number so that we may contact you to provide the information in another format.
As part of Delano School's commitment to accessibility, we have adopted an ADA Plan and are working with staff to ensure our websites are optimized to provide users with an accessible experience as we work to conform to WCAG 2.0 Level AA guidelines.
