7-American History
A. Course Objective
U.S. History 7 is a survey course covering key events, topics, and concepts related to American History. Beginning with the American Revolution and ending with Contemporary America, students will examine the historical moments that shaped our country. In this course, students will learn to analyze and interpret primary and secondary sources, maps, photography and video, timelines, and other materials directly related to these key events. Through this course, students will develop the critical thinking skills necessary to engage in informed political and historical discourse in Social Studies.

3. Causes of Civil War 9. World War II
4. Civil War (newspaper project) 10. Post-WWII & Cold War (choice project)
5. Reconstruction 11. Contemporary America (choice project)
6. Gilded Age/Progressive Era 12. Current Events (throughout the year)US History 7-Mr Schramel
