Hello Families,
My name is Ashlee I would like to welcome you and your child to third grade! This is going to be a fun and exciting year. Third grade is such a significant year for students academically. To start our journey of learning about each other, I would like to tell you a little about myself.
This will be my 13th year teaching at Delano Elementary and my eighth-year teaching third grade! I am looking forward to welcoming many of the same and some new families to our class this year. I am thrilled to be part of Delano Elementary staff again this year and am looking forward to a fun school year.
I received my early childhood teaching license and degree from the University of Minnesota-Duluth in 2006. I have a reading specialist license from St. Mary’s University and finished my masters in literacy at St. Mary’s in December of 2013.
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband Luke and I have two kids; Morgan (second grade) and Mack (4.) We have a dog named Maple too. I love to bake, garden, craft, exercise and travel. This summer I traveled to Mount Rushmore and Colorado. I also love coffee, reading and country music!
I have a true passion for reading and learning, which I love to share with my students. My goal is to provide your child with a joyful and enriching learning environment. I am thrilled to be part of this exciting time for your child! I know that together we can make your child’s 3rd grade year at Delano Elementary memorable.
