Becca Rue recently reached her 400th win as a head volleyball coach. Rue started her coaching career in Delano as the assistant coach. After four years, she became the head coach. The 19-year veteran coach recently notched her 400th career victory.

When asked about the award, the humble coach recognizes not herself, but the volleyball program at Delano Public Schools.

"This milestone isn’t about me," said Rue. "It’s a celebration of our entire Delano volleyball program, from youth to varsity. It belongs to so many: our coaches, our dedicated and selfless athletes, our supportive administration and parents, and our incredible fans and community. I feel truly blessed that I get to be a part of this. I have had the privilege of interacting with so many great people the last 19 years as the head coach. So many unforgettable memories have been made and I'm excited to keep making more!"

"Having grown up with so many amazing coaches, I strive to give my players that same experience and hope they’ll look back on me in that way too!"

Congratulations Rue.
