Educational Background
In May of 2004, I graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato. I earned a degree in Elementary Education (K-6) and a Middle School Science Endorsement (5-8). During my time at Minnesota State University, Mankato I took the time to receive a Coaching Minor. I also have my Master of Arts in Education from St. Mary's University, which I completed in 2007.
Teaching Background
It's hard to believe but this will be my 17th year of teaching! It may be year 17 but I think I get just as excited as I did my first year of teaching! I have completed eight years of teaching Fourth Grade and this will be my ninth year teaching Third Grade! I am thrilled for the new adventure that awaits me!
Personal
My family likes to spend our summers up North at our cabin. When we are up there, we spend a lot of time fishing, boating, having campfires, going to craft shows, and just relaxing! We love watching our kids at their sporting events, going to sporting events, and finding any parks that are around in the area!! Recently we have enjoyed family golf nights! My husband and I have three kids. Madelynn will be starting Fourth Grade this year! She loves school, sports and spending time with her friends and playing with her siblings. Our son, Nathan will be starting Second Grade this upcoming year. He has recently really enjoyed playing golf and tennis in his spare time. He loves being with friends and is an amazing brother to his two sisters. Our youngest is Emma. She just turned four and is heading off to preschool this year! She is pretty sure she knows everything she needs to know for preschool, so it could be an interesting year! She enjoys anything pink and playing with her imaginary fairy friends! We reside in Delano and I love being a part of this amazing community. My husband works in Plymouth as a Chemical Engineer. He loves his work. Our family will be getting a little puppy this fall! He is a cavachon and my son has named him already....Mo! I can't wait to share puppy stories with you all!
When I am not at the school working, you will find me doing many other activities. There are many hobbies that I enjoy. I look forward to shopping, fishing, swimming, golfing, playing sports with my kids, and taking many walks. I enjoy being around sporting events because my favorite sports to participate in were basketball, volleyball, and golf.
