School board to meet online Aug. 17

The Delano School Board will hold a special meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 17, to act on a recommendation to open the 2020-21 school year in person for PreK-6 students and in a hybrid for 7-12 students. This recommendation is based on a framework of COVID infection rates established by public health officials.

The board will also conduct a first read of a new policy governing face coverings, and address an additional item related to the establishment of a tax increment financing district at the business park.

The meeting will take place via teleconference due to the COVID-19 situation. The agenda is available here.
