Ribbon cut for diving well

Seniors and captains from the boys and girls swimming and diving teams cut the ribbon on the new diving well at Delano High School on Thursday, Sept. 20, marking another milestone in the Delano Public Schools building project.

A brief ceremony was held before the girls swim meet against Mound-Westonka and Holy Family. A few remarks were made before the athletes cut the ribbon, and members of the team presented a signed kickboard commemorating the event to Superintendent Matt Schoen.

The addition to the pool includes two diving boards, a maximum depth of 12 feet, 6 inches, and a minimum depth of 9 feet.
