Reopening information for 2020-21

This page serves as a collection point for information regarding the upcoming 2020-21 school year. It will be updated often as plans develop.
RETURN TO SCHOOL PLAN
On Monday, Aug. 17, the Delano School Board approved two base learning models to begin the 2020-21 school year. PreK-6 students will start in person, and 7-12 students will start in hybrid learning. All who would prefer to choose distance learning, for any reason, can do so here.
While the learning models in use may shift in response to COVID-19 infection rates during the course of the school year, the chance that these numbers could change substantially enough to alter the learning models before Sept. 8 appears to be small at present. We will provide weekly updates during the school year so that families are aware of how the numbers are trending and can be as prepared as possible in case a transition in learning models becomes imminent. More immediate shifts could be necessary if there is a spike in infections; these transitions would occur in consultation with public health officials.
We will continue to update our return-to-school plans and the FAQ document as more questions arise and answers are determined.
