Diving well ceremony planned

Another milestone in the Delano Public Schools building project will arrive Thursday, Sept. 20, when captains of the boys and girls swimming and diving teams cut the ribbon on the new diving well.

A brief ceremony will be held at 5:50 p.m. before the girls swim meet against Mound-Westonka and Holy Family begins. A few remarks will be made before the athletes cut the ribbon, and members of the team will present a signed kickboard commemorating the event to district administrators.

The addition to the pool includes two diving boards, a maximum depth of 12 feet, 6 inches, and a minimum depth of 9 feet.

All are welcome to attend and see the new facility.
