Visits from College Representatives: More than 100 colleges send representatives to the Career Center throughout the year to recruit Delano High School Students.  See the Career Center Calendar for upcoming visits.  Contact Susan Farbo if you would like to request that a specific college visit the school.

College Forum:  Spend a morning listening to a group of college students talk about their experiences during their first year at college.  Ask lots of questions!  The Forum is usually held in early January at the school.  Contact the Career Center for the exact date.

Career Shadow Opportunities:  Interested in a specific career?  The Career Center will assist you in your search to find an expert in the career you choose to investigate.  Scheduled during school holidays or during summer break.

Career Expo:  Many local businesses set up booths in the gym on the evening of this event to allow students to interview their representatives.  Students can learn about specific jobs and career opportunities.  This event is usually held in March.  For further information contact the counselor or Career Center.

Financial Aid Night:  An informational meeting discussing financial aid options held in January by Susan Farbo.

National College Fair:  This is a two day event held at the Mpls Convention Center in October.  Colleges from all over the United States attend.  See Susan Farbo for permission sheets and more information.

Personalized Service:  Appointments to meet with Career Center Volunteers are available to all District 879 residents.  Call Susan Farbo to schedule an appointment.  Parents and Guardians are encouraged to attend.
