Cross Country

Coach's expectations

My approach to cross country is that it should be a major part of a your life,

but not the whole thing.

My “order” of priorities is:                1. Family

2. Religion

3. Academics

4. Athletics

5. Job

I can help you get into whatever college you want. That means your academic achievement is of utmost importance. Keep me up-to-date on your grades!

Lettering Requirements

1. Solid attendance at all practices and meets is a given. While an athlete cannot be expected to be stellar every day, you should give your all as often as you can! We will have four days off at Labor Day and at MEA – any trips should try to be scheduled then. Missing any practices or meets in order to work out with any other sport is grounds for immediate release from the corss country team.

2. Girls need to break 19:15 in a 4000m race, boys need to break 20:00 in a 5000m race.*

*Returning seniors who have shown exceptional personal fortitude may receive an honorary letter even if they have not broken the time requirement.

3. Making a positive contribution to the team. Each athlete has something to add to our overall success. Figure out what your part is!
