Mrs. Petersen's Third Grade Discipline Plan

 

    Classroom Rules

  1. Have all appropriate materials and supplies at your desk and be seated when class begins.
  2. Be respectful to yourself, the teachers, students, and property in the room.
  3. Take responsibility for your actions.  Be responsible for yourself and how you act.
  4. Make safe choices and decisions.
  5. Follow directions the first time they are given.
  6. Complete all assignments on time.
  7. Allow the teacher to teach.

 

    If You Choose to Break a Rule

In my classroom we use a “How am I doing today” stoplight chart

·        Green-Everyone begins the day with a green card, which means they are following the classroom rules and expectations.

·        Yellow- Verbal warning

·        Orange- Meet with teacher and lose participation in Friday activity

·        Red- Teacher will notify home

*Exceptions- Fighting, destroying property, swearing, and other violent crimes will be sent right to the principal

 

    Late Assignments

-Parents will be notified in the planner.

-Students will lose participation in the Friday activity that week.

 

    Rewards

          Praise (daily)

Positive notes home (random)

Whole class free time (weekly)    

Prize from prize box (random)
