	Series: Macmillan/McGraw-Hill Units: "Let's Explore", "Take a Stand", "Making a Difference", "Viewpoints", "Relationships", "Discovery" Strategies: Predict/Infer, Monitor, Self-question, think about words, summarize, and evaluate. Skills: Phonemic awareness and Phonics/decoding		Writing styles: Clarification, Narrative, Descriptive, and Problem/Solution. Six traits: Ideas, Organizations, Voice, Word Choice, Sentence Fluency, and Conventions. Writing Process: Prewriting, Writing, Revising, Editing, Publishing Types: Persuasive Essay, Research report, Instructions/Directions, Business Letter, Poetry, and others.
Speaking		Listening
	Students will be able to orally ask and answer questions and present organized reports using note cards.		Students will be able to listen and view to summarize various types of information and to form opinions.
