Immunizations

Minnesota School Immunization LawTo go to school in Minnesota, students must show they've had the immunizations required by law or file a legal exemption with the school.  The school health office must have a written record of your child's immunizations.  You may use the Pupil Health Record, or you may ask your physician to fax this information directly to the the building your student will attend.

Notice:  Beginning in the fall of 2009, students entering kindergarten and 7th grade will be required by state law to have TWO doses of the varicella (chicken pox) vaccine, unless the student has had the disease or the parent is conscientiously opposed.  Now is a good time to talk with your health care provider to ensure your child will be in compliance.
