Congratulations, Class of 2018

The DHS Class of 2018, consisting of 179 seniors, graduated Sunday afternoon, May 20.

Eva Sundheim and Jackson Groskreutz gave speeches to their classmates during the ceremony, and were later honored with the American Legion School Citizenship Award.

Language arts teacher Daniel Mathieson delivered the faculty address.

Additional student speakers Calvin Wishart, Abigail Olson, Daniel Moonen and Isabelle Hokanson also spoke to the assembly during voiceover portions of a performance of “Walk on Water” by Sound Revolution.

Near the beginning of the ceremony The Honor Five were announced and seated at the front of their classmates. They included Tara Cady, Nicholas Poll, Emery Harlan, Charlie Otto and Alissa Findley.

In addition to the processional and recessional, the band performaned “Pirates of the Caribbean,” and the choir sang “Omnia Sol.”
